People of any age can have problems with blackheads on their skin, but most often it is an issue during the teenage and adolescent years.Also referred to as open comedones, blackheads are small yellow or black bumps that form when a clog develops in the opening of hair follicles due to a combination of excess sebum and build-up of dirt and dead skin cells.
Home Remedies For Blackheads
1, Lemon
Cut a nice juicy lemon in half and then squeeze out the juice from one half. Add a pinch of salt and apply the solution on the affected areas.Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse it off using lukewarm water.
2, Tea Tree oil
You can apply tea tree oil directly to the affected areas to help blackheads on your chin and nose. It works in part by killing bacteria. Tea tree oil is available in a number of products, like soaps and creams
3, Oatmeal
Take a cup of rolled oats (cooked or uncooked) and add some water to it to make a thick paste.Apply this oatmeal paste all over your face.Gently massage your face with your finger tips for 5 minutes.Dip a clean cloth in lukewarm water, wring out the excess water and lay it over your face.Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash off with water.Follow this procedure 3 to 4 times a week.
4, Honey and Cinnamon
Mix the honey and the cinnamon together until you have enough paste to cover the affected area. Apply in a thin layer over the blackheads and then press a strip of clean cotton over it. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes before removing and rinsing your face. Don’t forget to follow up with a moisturizer!
5, Baking soda
Mix two teaspoons of baking soda with mineral water to make a paste. Apply the paste generously on the affected skin area and massage gently. Allow it to dry for a few minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.Repeat this remedy once or twice a week
6, Green Tea
Mix one teaspoon of dry green tea leaves with a little water to make a paste. Gently scrub the paste over the affected area for two to three minutes. This scrub deep cleans oily skin and helps unclog pores.Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
